NTRIP App and Auterion RTK

How it Works

The NTRIP App allows you to set up an NTRIP client directly on Skynode. Through the local NTRIP webpage, it is possible to monitor the NTRIP connection status and to modify app settings. The operator can monitor the GPS Fix type from Auterion Mission Control (AMC).

Auterion RTK is a seamless, out-of-the-box correction service designed for the NTRIP App and managed through Auterion Suite. After assigning an Auterion RTK license to a vehicle, the service is ready to use. For added flexibility, the NTRIP App also supports third-party NTRIP casters.

Installation

Visit Auterion Suite to download and install the NTRIP app. If you plan to use the Auterion RTK service, you will also need to purchase and assign a license to the vehicle in Suite. For any assistance, please contact our support team at https://auterion.zendesk.com.

Purchasing Auterion RTK and Assigning to Vehicles

To purchase Auterion RTK, open Auterion Suite → Store and select Auterion RTK. Choose the number of licenses and complete checkout. You can assign licenses to vehicles during checkout or later from a vehicle’s profile by selecting Assign License. Once assigned, the license activates automatically and the vehicle is ready to use Auterion RTK.

Configuration and Monitoring

Accessing NTRIP (Auterion RTK) Navigate to http://10.41.1.1/apps. If the ntrip-client app is installed, it will appear as a tile. Click the Settings (gear) icon in the bottom-right of the tile to open the NTRIP page, where you can view connection status and modify settings. If the Auterion RTK license was assigned after installing the app, refresh the app on this page to recheck and apply the license.

Alternatively you can access NTRIP via AMC by navigating to Vehicle overview, tapping more and tapping Open settings in within the RTK Corrections menu.

Third-party NTRIP caster

In the NTRIP app, click the cogwheel icon in the top-right corner to open the settings. Enable the Third-Party RTK option, then enter the connection details, providing authentication credentials if required and click Apply.

Vehicles without Internet connectivity

If your vehicle does not have a direct internet connection, you can route NTRIP data through Auterion Mission Control (AMC). In this configuration, the ground station acts as a proxy, using its own network connection to send RTK correction data to the vehicle.

Navigate to the NTRIP settings page, disable the Use vehicle connectivity option and click Apply. AMC will automatically use all the same settings that are already configured in the NTRIP settings page.

In the field, the app can still be monitored by navigating to http://192.168.144.20/apps/com.auterion.ntrip-client/.
