AMC 1.37.20

Generic

New features

  • Added Ubuntu 25 LTS support for our AppImage.

  • Auterion ARF radio support – Adds full support for Auterion ARF radios, including:

    • Autoconnect capabilities for seamless connectivity

    • ARF-A & ARF-B SNR and RSSI displayed in the top status bar

    • New Radio Settings menu with a button linking to the ARF settings webpage

    • Optimizations for low-bandwidth radio connections to improve performance

  • Boats Support:

    • Dedicated mission planning – Tailored specifically for boat operations.

      • GPX file support for mission import.

    • Engine start/stop actions – Automate engine controls as part of your mission workflows.

    • MFD widgets – Add customizable Multi-Function Display widgets for real-time boat telemetry.

    • Range lines and direction arrows – Visual aids for heading and course-over-ground to enhance navigation awareness.

    • New compass UI for boats – Optimized navigation display designed for marine use.

    • AIS data integration – View data from the Automatic Identification System (AIS), which broadcasts the position, course, and speed of nearby vessels for situational awareness.

    • Maritime charts using OpenSeaMap – Access nautical charts directly in the app for better planning and navigation.

    • New boat checklist – Ensure all systems are checked and ready before starting a mission.

  • New keyboard controls – Users can now:

    • Control the vehicle in Altitude and Position flight modes using WASD keys.

    • Adjust the Tracker incrementally with arrow keys.

    • Map vehicle actions to individual keyboard keys, e.g., assign camera zoom to + / -.

  • Migration from QMake to CMake – The project build system has been fully migrated from QMake to CMake, improving cross-platform support.

  • Add possibility to use gaming controllers for gimbal control only.

  • New Top Status Bar UI specialized for combat use cases – available only for Dragon airframes

  • New Camera Controls UI specialized for combat use cases – available only for Dragon airframes

    • New Track & Strike actions added

    • New Zoom buttons added

  • Introduce support for Low Bandwidth radios:

    • Available as a global setting in General Setting or as a link setting in Comm Links

  • GeoPDF Import – Users can now import GeoPDF maps into the application, enabling enhanced situational awareness and geospatial data utilization across missions.

  • Storage rework for Android 11 – Updated storage handling to comply with Android 11 requirements.

  • Dual GPS setup – The system now receives and stores data from 2 GPS antennas, enabling display and monitoring of a second GPS sensor.

  • Dual link setup – Introduces primary and backup links for vehicle communication. The system automatically falls back to the backup link if the primary link is lost and switches back when communication is regained. Popups notify users of both actions.

  • Dual Radio setup – The system now receives and stores data from multiple Radios, enabling display and monitoring of a second Radio telemetry.

  • Add support for TBS TANGO 2 controller.

  • New connection progress bar – Shows progress while synchronizing data when connecting to a vehicle.

Improvements

  • Update RTK GPS driver

  • Multi-vehicle fix: AMC would immediately freeze when the user connected a multicopter and a fixed-wing.

  • Send frame IDs to the tracking service over KLV metadata for better object tracking.

  • Deprecate packet loss status from MAVLink settings.

  • Deprecate vehicle tuning tab for production vehicles.

  • RTP: Force re-synchronization on packet loss – Improves RTP stream reliability, preventing unusable playback on decoders with limited error concealment.

  • Fix DTED offline tiles: resolved an issue where offline DTED-format tiles did not load altitude parameters on Android devices.

  • Multi-vehicle soft disconnect – keeps flying vehicles operational if communication is temporarily lost, while completely removing vehicles that are not flying in case of lost communication.

  • RTSP URL override – Users can now set a custom RTSP URL that takes priority over the auto-detected value. If left blank, the auto-detected URL is used.

  • Improved service bulletins rendering – Fixed display issues so that bullet points and hyperlinks now render correctly

  • MultiGCS: When the pilot loses communication, the observer is notified that no one is in control, allowing them to take over the vehicle.

VTOL Specific

New features

  • Handrail Support:

    • Added ability to upload and manage offline maps to handrail-enabled vehicles to support visual navigation

    • AGP indicator visualized on AMC UI as a purple icon (similar to RAW GPS and FUSED Position icon)

    • Added high precision marker support for handrail-enabled vehicles with sufficient compute - Vector only (EVO will be added soon)

    • Support for video2Ros EO/IR control for handrail-enabled vehicles

    • UI and performance upgrades to offline map creation

    • Disabled virtual joystick when a gimbal controlling joystick is connected

  • Add NADIR camera button: will set the gimbal to -90 degree pointing to the ground.

    • Added bindable actions to Joystick and Keyboard for FPV and NADIR modes

Improvements

  • Enhanced ISR survey support – Adds a switch to toggle between manual gimbal control by the pilot and automatic gimbal orientation based on the mission plan

  • Increased transparency of land approaches – Makes it easier to see the exact location of land approaches while dragging

  • LRF & horizontal stability – Moved the LRF reading and stability indicator to a new row on the compass UI for better visibility. Requires the GPS Denied capabilities.

MC Specific

New features

  • Asset Tag support – Organizes photos on the companion device into folders based on the currently selected asset. This feature is optional and only enabled if allowed by the Payload Manager.

Improvements

  • When planning a mission, the only flight path shown from the Launch “H“ and the mission elements is the RTL path. This is very misleading, the pilot could confuse it with the first flight path after launch.

    • Make return segment yellow and add 'RTL' label.

Fixed Wing Specific

New features

  • Abort action for strikes – Introduces a new action that aborts a strike mission and helps the vehicle exit a jamming area by gaining altitude and flying away. The abort altitude can be set in Settings -> Fly View section.

Improvements

  • Add UI during Fixed Wing takeoff for selecting orbit location.

Notes

Deprecated support for MAVLink V1 communication protocol.
