Use MIPI Retimers

This section explains how to use MIPI Retimers in series to increase the length of the MIPI Cable between Skynode S and the IMX900 camera.

In case the distance between Skynode S and the IMX900 camera is greater than 300mm, Auterion can provide MIPI Retimers to add in series with MIPI cables, to increase the length of the cable.

Required components

• 2x MIPI Retimers The arrow goes from the camera to Skynode.

• 1x Skynode S In this example the top MIPI-CSI connector is used

• 1x MIPI Camera In this example the IMX900 is used

• 1x MIPI Cable Type A (top) and 2x Type B (bottom)

Connection

It is fundamental to respect the maximum length showed in the picture below. Starting from the camera side, the MIPI Cables order is Type A - Type B - Type B.
