Software Update
The complete software stack on Skynode can be updated locally using the USB-C interface, or remotely via the Auterion Suite.
The method for local software updates is described below. This is the preferred update mechanism during development.
You need a valid account on the Auterion Suite and a registered Skynode in order to download the Skynode firmware.

Local Software Update

Local software update enables an offline workflow that does not require an internet connection during the software update.

What you will need for this step:

Setup

  1. 1.
Download the latest Auterion Enterprise PX4 software release from the Auterion Suite by heading to Downloads and then selecting the Firmware tab, or simply following this direct link.
  2. 2.
Close Auterion Mission Control if it is currently running on your computer.
  3. 3.
Open an internet browser and navigate to the following URL: http://skynode.local/. This connects to a local web server on Skynode and displays the web page above. On some systems, the URL is not resolved properly, in this case navigate to http://10.41.1.1 instead.
  4. 4.
Click Browse files ... to select the software image (example name "aepx4-v2.1.auterionos") with the new release and then click Update.
  5. 5.
A progress bar will indicate the file transfer progress. On completion, Skynode will automatically reboot, verify and perform the update. The complete update process can take up to 5 minutes, please wait until Skynode has rebooted and the successful update is confirmed. You will see the following confirmation.
